What kinds of events can I run?

Society days, charity and corporate days, multi-day trips and club competitions — singles or teams, one round or a full season.

Do players need to download an app?

No. Guests join by QR code or event code in any mobile browser. The iPhone app is there for regulars, but it isn’t required to play or score.

What handicaps can the event use?

Your choice — entered WHS handicaps, Caddie Live CPI values, or any playing value you set per player. The organiser decides what the event accepts and Caddie Live scores it accurately from there.

Caddie Live is free while in beta — your whole event, end to end, at no cost. Some premium tools are coming later, with fair notice first.

Why the numbers are right

No arguments in the bar

An organiser’s biggest fear is a wrong result. Caddie Live does the handicap maths the way the rules intend, so the leaderboard everyone’s watching is the leaderboard you can trust.

Course handicap, done right
Derived from each tee’s course rating and slope — not a flat number off the back of an envelope.
The correct allowance per format
Singles Stableford, better-ball, scramble — each gets its proper playing-handicap allowance automatically.
Shots in the right places
Strokes fall hole-by-hole by stroke index, so net scores and Stableford points are right every time.
Transparent tie-breaks
Consistent countback — last 6, 3, 1 — settles ties the same way every event, no arguments in the bar.

CPI (Current Playing Index) is calculated using the same method as the World Handicap System, but it is not an official WHS or federation-issued handicap. It's Caddie Live's own index, based on the rounds you choose to count. How the index works
