The story
Caddie Live is built by Simon Berriman — one developer, one golfer, shipping fast. It started with a familiar frustration: society days and golf trips scored on paper and WhatsApp, results argued about in the bar, and nobody watching the one thing that makes tournament golf electric — a live leaderboard.
So Caddie Live does one loop exceptionally well: create the competition, invite players with a QR code, score hole by hole on phones, watch the leaderboard move in real time — on the course, at home, and on the clubhouse TV — then share the results. Every format your group actually plays, from Stableford to Texas Scramble to Ryder Cup-style team cups.
Being built by one person is a feature, not a caveat: feedback lands in the product in days, not quarters. A good idea from a society captain on Saturday is often live by the next weekend.
From first tee to prize-giving, live
Caddie Live ran its first full tournament day at Golfclub Markkleeberg am See — a shotgun-start morning of singles Stableford, a live regroup over lunch, and an afternoon Texas Scramble, scored end to end on players’ phones with the leaderboard live on the clubhouse screen and prizes handed out minutes after the last putt dropped.
